My journey into senior placement began the way it does for many of you: with a crisis.

In 2012, my mom had a stroke. She lived out of state, and in an instant, my world was filled with urgent, overwhelming questions. My first thought was simply, “Oh God, now what?”

I remember the feeling of being completely submerged. How do I navigate doctors, finances, and living options from hundreds of miles away? The fear was paralyzing. You’re terrified of making a bad decision for someone you love so dearly, and in our case, we had to do it all on a limited budget.

That experience—the stress, the confusion, the fear—is what led me to create Berry Karing Family Senior Placement. I wanted to become the calm, experienced guide I desperately wished I had back then.
